Rhinoplasty

The nose is composed of bone, cartilage and soft tissue. These components are altered as needed to change the shape of the nose. The rhinoplasty may change the size of the nose, remove or add height, or change the width. As with all facial surgery, I strive for a balanced appearance. In other words, I try to fashion a nose which fits the rest of the face. Rhinoplasty maybe combined with a septoplasty or turbinectomy in patients with breathing difficulties due to a deviated septum, enlarged turbinates or previous trauma. Insurance coverage is sometimes available for the septoplasty and turbinectomy.
